Care and treatment
- What illnesses and conditions can you evaluate at home?
- We evaluate common non-emergency concerns such as cold and flu symptoms, sore throats, ear pain, sinus symptoms, seasonal allergies, urinary tract infection symptoms, nausea, headaches, mild dehydration, and minor skin or wound concerns. Your symptoms and medical history help determine whether a house call is appropriate.
- Will a physician personally come to my home?
- The team member assigned to your visit may vary. Atlas's clinical team includes physicians, a physician assistant, and nurses working within their respective roles. Medical care and clinical decisions remain under physician direction. Contact us if you have questions about who will attend your visit.
- Do you see children and adults?
- Yes. Contact us with the patient's age and symptoms so we can confirm whether an at-home visit is appropriate. Some concerns require an in-person clinic or emergency department evaluation.
- Can I book a phone or text consultation and receive a prescription?
- Yes. Atlas offers phone or text consultations for certain non-emergency concerns, including sinus symptoms and possible urinary tract infections. A provider will review your symptoms and medical history to determine whether remote care is appropriate or an in-person evaluation is needed. When clinically appropriate, a prescription can be sent to your preferred pharmacy.
- Can you test for flu, strep, COVID-19, RSV, or a UTI at home?
- Yes. We offer rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, and RSV testing, along with urinalysis for UTI screening. Testing is performed during your appointment when clinically appropriate.
- How quickly will I receive rapid test results?
- Rapid test results are generally available during your visit, often within minutes, depending on the test. Your clinical team will explain the results and discuss the next steps.
- Can Atlas prescribe medication?
- Yes. An authorized prescribing provider can issue a prescription when clinically appropriate following an evaluation. A visit does not guarantee a prescription or a particular medication.
- Can you come to my home for a migraine, dehydration, or a minor injury?
- Yes. Atlas can evaluate headaches and migraines, dehydration, and minor injuries at home when suitable for mobile care. Depending on your assessment, treatment may include medication, IV hydration, or wound care. Testing, injections, IV fluids, and procedures are priced separately from the standard visit, as listed on our service menu.
- Do you offer steroid shots and other injections?
- Yes. When clinically appropriate, Atlas offers steroid injections, including dexamethasone and Kenalog, following an evaluation. Other injection options include Toradol for pain relief, Zofran for nausea, and antibiotics such as Rocephin. Your provider will determine which treatment, if any, fits your needs.
